Abba Home Orphanage for Girls
Abba Home Orphanage for Girls is situated in Lahore, Pakistan.
It is currently housing 50 Pakistani orphan girls (aged 6 to 16 years) from various difficult and traumatic backgrounds. Project Hope has been supporting this orphanage since January 2020 and would like to extend you the opportunity to invest in the education of the girls in their care.
Abba Home Orphanage was founded in December 2005 by Ashraf and Willma Naheed, who are still running the operation. The orphanage provides the girls in its care a family environment, a safe place to live, nutritious home-cooked meals, and free education as well as extra-curricular activities.
Abba Home’s mission is “to empower oppressed, depressed, and deprived orphan girls”. They have a vision to see “orphan girls living a prosperous life utilizing their potentials, overcoming violence, and contributing their best to the development of family, community and civil society” (http://www.abbaorphancare.org/info/Vision–Mission/573/0).

9,000 PKR (Pakistani Rupees) can fund one girl’s academic and school supplies for the entire school year in 2025, including stationery, books, uniforms, and extra-curricular activities such as swimming and educational excursions.
At the current currency exchange rate (i.e. $1AUD = 173.74PKR as at 08/01/25), 9,000PKR approximates to $51.80AUD (Australian Dollars) per girl.
This means that for just over $50AUD, you can support the educational and health costs for one girl for the entire year.
Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated to support this vital cause of education for under-privileged girls in Pakistan. Any funds raised will be donated to cover the annual academic and health costs for the girls, as well as additional costs for the general management of the orphanage including clothing for the girls, food supplies, wages for staff, and general facility bills.
